LEARNING IN THE ROOM
Talks, workshops & shared learning
A glimpse of the talks and group sessions that bring learning to life.

01 / Enneagram
The Enneagram
Enneagram Advantage (Basic) to Enneagram Breakthrough (Advanced)
“Know your number. Then know your prison. Then build the key.”

What It Is
A deep dive into the Enneagram — not as a personality test, but as a map of your core motivations, fears and blind spots. Dorothy has taught this for over 30 years and is one of Hong Kong’s top Enneagram teachers.
What makes it different
Rather than stopping at a personality label, the Enneagram looks beneath behaviour to the motivations, fears and blind spots that may shape it.
The course connects those patterns to everyday situations such as parenting, teamwork and relationships, so the framework can be used for reflection and growth. It goes beyond quick online tests and simplified type descriptions.
What you may take away
- A clearer way to describe patterns that show up in your choices, relationships and work.
- More awareness of what may be driving a reaction, instead of judging behaviour at face value.
- A practical framework to bring into parenting, team-building and personal development.
Who it is for
For people who want to understand themselves and others more deeply, including parents, leaders, coaches and curious learners who are ready to reflect on their patterns.
How it runs
Enneagram Advantage (Basic) is 16 hours: two full days or four half-days. Enneagram Breakthrough (Advanced) is 11 sessions of 2.5 hours each, for 27.5 hours total. Both are face-to-face, with class sizes of 20–25.

02 / Self-Esteem
Self-Esteem and Peak Performance
Self-Esteem and Peak Performance
“Self-esteem is not “feel good about yourself.” It is “do hard things anyway.””

What It Is
No positive affirmations. No mirrors. No fake smiles. This workshop is about building self-respect through action — not empty validation.
What makes it different
The course treats self-esteem as something built through actions and choices, rather than a feeling created by repeating positive statements.
It introduces the six pillars of self-esteem and connects them with everyday habits and the discipline of keeping promises to yourself.
What you may take away
- A more practical way to think about self-respect and how it is built over time.
- Ideas for strengthening habits that help you rely less on outside approval.
- Ways to make and keep small commitments to yourself in daily life.
Who it is for
For people who have found positive thinking alone unhelpful and want a more practical approach. Professionals, parents and students who are willing to reflect and put ideas into practice may find it useful.
How it runs
Four face-to-face sessions for groups of 20–25. Online participation is available for overseas learners.

03 / Women Psychology
Finishing Unfinished Business
Women Psychology
“You don’t need closure from them. You need closure from you.”

What It Is
For women who still carry old conversations in their heads — with parents, ex-partners, or their past self. This workshop helps you identify and complete emotional contracts that keep you stuck.
What makes it different
The workshop explores unresolved conversations and experiences that continue to take up emotional space, including those involving family, former partners or your past self.
It looks at ways to move forward without making closure depend on another person’s apology, explanation or change.
What you may take away
- A clearer picture of which past experiences still affect how you feel today.
- Space to consider what closure could mean from your own perspective.
- More awareness of relationship patterns you may want to change going forward.
Who it is for
For women who feel weighed down by unresolved experiences or keep replaying old conversations, and want to understand how the past may be affecting their present.
How it runs
Six evening sessions, face-to-face, for women only. Class size is 12–18.

Brotherhood
The Hidden Secrets of Manhood
“Real strength is not silence. Real strength is saying “I’m struggling” — and staying in the room.”

What It Is
For men who have never been taught the language of their own inner world. Dorothy’s 35-year observation: men are often misunderstood by their partners, their children, and themselves.
What makes it different
The workshop creates space to talk about men’s inner lives and the feelings that are often difficult to name.
It examines ways to express what is happening without defaulting to anger or withdrawal, and makes room for honest conversation without competition.
What you may take away
- More language for expressing feelings and needs clearly.
- Ideas for opening more honest conversations with partners, children and colleagues.
- A group setting to explore men’s experiences through listening and discussion.
Who it is for
For men who want to better understand their inner world, and for women who want a more honest dialogue about men’s experiences and communication.
How it runs
Four face-to-face sessions for men and women. Class size is 12–18.
